Mintox - Modelling intoxicated riding from micromobility vehicle dynamics to enable new intelligent transportation systems
Forskningsprojekt, 2025 – 2026

Intoxicated riding is a leading cause of death for micromobility users. This project will model the relation between vehicle dynamics and rider intoxication with the goal to detect intoxicated riders from the way they are driving an e-scooter. The results may for instance be deployed in current rental e-scooters to limit speed when the rider shows signs of intoxication to lower the risk of crashes. This project leverages Chalmers expertise on micromobility vehicles, at M2 on user-behavior and at E2 on data modelling and artificial intelligence.
