Metoder och material för hållbara och kostnadseffektiva torn och fundament till vindkraftverk
Forskningsprojekt, 2019 – 2022

Methods and material for sustainable and cost effective structural systems for wind power plants.

In collaboration with partners - NCC, RISE, Chalmers, Modvion, Tension Cam, Stena Renewables and Rabbalshede kraft - the structural supporting systems for wind power will be investigated. The investigation will focus on optimization of both tower and foundation by studying the new Chalmers pilot research turbine at Björkö together with additional analyses and laboratory tests.

By developing new methods for optimization of turbine foundations, expected results include improved design methods of the foundation itself as well as methods for analysing the state of an existing foundation and assess a potential repowering. To achieve this, these methods need to be verified by load calculations and integrity analyses from advanced numerical analysis. Of importance are high cycle fatigue aspects both on the action-, as well as the response side.
