Hospital at home as a healthcare service innovation – value-creation and enrolment strategies
Övrigt konferensbidrag, 2026

Service innovation can be driven by contextual changes. This article explores the role of location change, a contextual change, in service innovation. A qualitative, single in-depth case study was employed, targeting and comparing different extents of location change in one Hospital at home initiative. Hospital at home (HaH) means that patients, at varying extents, receive in-hospital level care at home. This study suggests a relationship between the magnitude of contextual change and the resulting tension dynamics, facilitating anticipation of the resources and approaches required to support value (co-)creation and service ecosystem transformation.
