Anders Åkesjö research is focused upon hydrodynamics and heat transfer in vertical falling film evaporators. By deepening the knowledge about how these physical phenomenon affect each other it is possible to improve the energy efficiency. Falling film evaporation, as all thermal separation techniques, is inherently energy intensive, thus there is a great potential to save energy.
