Anand Joseph Michael

Doctoral Student at Fluid Dynamics

Anand is a Doctoral student in the department of Mechanics and Maritime Sciences, Division of Fluid Dynamics. His work focuses on using simulation techniques to study reactive Brownian mixtures with the aim of studying how migration and mixing occurs in such systems. These mixtures are observed in many micro/nano-fluidic devices (lab-on-chip, micro/nano reactors, surface-based sensors etc.), where an understanding of the inherent flow physics could lead to more efficient designs.
