Tom Coleman is a researcher in the Division of Industrial Biotechnology. He earned his Ph.D. at the University of Adelaide (Australia) in 2018 and spent 2 years as a postdoctoral researcher at Rice University (United States). His research focuses on discovery, characterisation and utilisation of enzymes which degrade the diverse types of chemical bonds in lignocellulosic biomass. He is also interested in the structural diversity and catalytic mechanisms of oxidative enzymes.
