Uta Hejral

Assistant Professor at Chemical Physics

Uta works on the operando investigation of tailored catalysts for sustainable energy conversion at the solid/gas and the solid/liquid interface by synchrotron-based techniques such as surface x-ray diffraction and x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The model catalysts studied consist of epitaxially grown nanoparticles and single crystal surfaces, but also powder catalysts featuring size-selected nanoparticles prepared by inverse micelle encapsulation techniques.
