PLENary multi-User developMent arena for industrial workspaces (PLENUM)
Research Project, 2022
– 2025
Purpose and goal:
PLENUM aims to provide industry with methods and design tools to create sustainable factories/workplaces/manual operations in a multi-user development environment. PLENUM´s objective is to develop and demonstrate an easy-to-use (low threshold) cost-effective interactive multi-user 3D environment for development, workplace design, upskilling and ergonomic analysis that includes thousands of users and reduces environmental impact.
Expected results and effects:
PLENUM enables better and more efficient factories in terms of economic performance with less emissions and more human-centered workplace design. PLENUM also enables inclusive design for all staff as well as efficient industrial 3D development environment, which significantly reduces the need for travel by allowing factories to be visited online.
