The role of diet during pregnancy, breastfeeding and infancy in the prevention of allergies
Research Project, 2019 – 2020

The aim of this project is to study how the diet of pregnant and lactating mothers affects the development of the immune system and the risk of developing allergies in their children. The project will link dietary patterns with metabolomics (analysis of thousands of metabolites/degradation products in blood samples) to find preventive strategies to reduce the risk of allergy, the most common disease affecting children.
