Sara Heimersson

Doktor vid Chalmers, Teknikens ekonomi och organisation, Miljösystemanalys

Saras forskning fokuserar på livscykelanalys (LCA) inom avloppsreningsområdet, inklusive hantering av avloppsslam. Detta innebär bland annat att hon med hjälp av livscykelanalysmetodik jämför scenarion där avloppsrening och slamhantering sker på olika sätt och samtidigt utför metodutveckling inom området. Denna metodutveckling är till exempel kopplad till frågor som uppkommer vid bedömning av system där resursuttag från avloppsvatten eller slam sker. Sara disputerade i april 2016, med avhandlingen ”Improved methods and practices in life cycle assessment of wastewater and sludge management”. Hennes postdoc-projekt fokuserar på hur nyttan av slamanvändning, på exempelvis åkermark, kan bedömas på ett relevant sätt i LCA-studier.
