e-SAFER - Datamodeller för säkra interaktioner mellan (automatiserade) fordon och elsparkcyklar
Forskningsprojekt, 2022 – 2024

We will investigate e-scooters as the present use-case for micromobility to understand this newtrend in transportation, its safety implications, and the necessary countermeasures to helpmotorized vehicles safely interact with e-scooterists and new micromobility vehicles yet-to-come.The focus will be on modelling the interaction between drivers and e-scooterists to support thedevelopment and evaluation of intelligent transport systems and connected automated vehicles. The main assets for the modelling will be data from test-track and naturalistic data that we willcollect in the project. We will use the test-track data to create the models and the naturalistic datato verify the models. The project will also analyse the contextual circumstances from crash andinsurance databases to inform the design of the test-track experiment. Finally, the project willorganize a final event where the application of the models developed in the project will bedemonstrated on a test-track. A demonstrator will show the end results from this project.
