Athanasios Theodoridis

Doctoral Student at Chemical Physics

PhD candidate in the group of Prof. Christoph Langhammer, Chemical Physics division. My research is centered around hydrogen economy, specifically focused on pushing the performance of plasmonic hydrogen sensors by optimizing and investigating current and alternative materials, based on alloys, as well as nanoparticle array design. These concepts are promising to resolve current limitations of these sensors, such as their inability to operate in chemically demanding environments, such as high humidity, and enable limits of detection down to the parts-per-billion regime.
