Ioli Gypa

Doctoral Student at Marine Technology

Ioli Gypa is a PhD student at the division of Marine Technology for the project Rolls-Royce UTC. Her research focuses on propeller design and optimisation. The aim of the project is to increase competitiveness, by reducing response time, and quality of designs through improvements in the core design tools. The use of interactive evolutionary algorithms will be explored to improve effectiveness of automated optimisation routines. Ioli has obtained her MEng degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece.
