Weitao Chen

Doctoral Student at Vehicle Engineering and Autonomous Systems

Weitao is an Industrial PhD student from Volvo Car Corporation (VCC) in vehicle dynamics at the Division of Vehicle Engineering and Autonomous Systems. His project is to develop virtual verification methods, including model-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop, for the vehicle-steering system. The main challenges cover robust interface design, simulator (model) coupling methods, evaluation of simulation accuracy and validity. The work is funded by the ITEAM project in the EU Horizon 2020 framework and Vinnova of the FFI.
