Stena Industry Innovation Lab at Chalmers - SII-Lab

Stena Industry Innovation Lab at Chalmers (SII-Lab) is a test and demonstration facility for next generation smart production systems. It offers fast communication systems with 5G, open robot environment and augmented reality tools for assembly work. Here, the engineers of the future will be trained and the lab also offers opportunities for industry to test new technical possibilities in practical test beds.
Sten A Olsson's Foundation for Research and Culture is investing 21 million kronor in SII-Lab at Chalmers to triple the established business in today's Chalmers smart industry lab and greatly improve the offer to industry and society. SII-Lab will be fully operative in the spring of 2018. Stena Industry Innovation Laboratory is becomes a national research infrastructure that is also part of the EU Commission's network of test beds.
