Computation of aeroacoustic sources and sound propagation for urban challenges, part 2
Forskningsprojekt, 2020 –

Moving into 2020, the overreaching goal of the proposed project is to advance the use of aeroacoustics simulations of vehicles and develop suitable sound propagation methods for application to challenges in urban environments. Examples of such challenges are high-speed rail systems generating flow-induced noise with impact on urban environments and in the end on health, annoyance and the quality of life of exposed citizens. The proposed project facilitates collaboration between research groups at the Division of Fluid Dynamics and the Division of Applied Acoustics. Participants in the project are G. Minelli, H. Yao, J. Forssén, P. Höstmad and S. Krajnovic.
