Kent Gylltoft

Professor at Chalmers, Architecture and Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering

Kent is a Professor at the Division of Structural Engineering, research group Concrete Structures, at Chalmers. The main goal of his research is to develop analysis- and design methods for more safe and sustainable civil engineering structures.Kent has been responsible for a large number of research projects mainly dealing with mechanical behaviour and modelling of concrete structures. His special interests are non-linear fracture mechanics, FE-analyses, fatigue and experiments in the laboratory. He has also during a number of years been responsible for the research and teaching in structural engineering at Chalmers and has in addition been active in a large number of national and interna¬tional groups and committees in the field of structural engineering.
