Iskra Georgieva

Doctoral Student at Astronomy and Plasmaphysics

Iskra's PhD work is focused on the relatively new and exciting field of exoplanets. More specifically, she will be working on detection and characterisation using mainly transit photometry (stellar light curve analysis) and radial velocity (spectroscopic) measurements. The goal is to improve the current understanding of the formation and evolution processes of planetary systems and add to the discussion of possible habitable worlds beyond the Solar system.
