Fredrik Hildor is a PhD student at the department of Inorganic Environmental Chemistry. His research is focused on environmentally friendly oxygen carriers of metal oxides that can be used in, for example, chemical looping combustion (CLC). CLC is an innovative combustion method that can be used to separate carbon dioxide without energy loss. The separated carbon dioxide can, in turn, be stored in, for example, the earth's crust to prevent emissions into the atmosphere. This can be a technique that can be used to reduce the climate impact of fossil fuel combustion.
