Maria Polukarova

Doctoral Student at Water Environment Technology

Maria is employed at the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute, VTI, and is an industrial PhD student in the division of Water Environment Technology at Chalmers, Maria conducts her research within a project called “Occurrence, transport and measures nearby the road to reduce the spread of microplastics from road traffic”. The project is funded by Swedish Transport Administration. The research focuses on traffic-related microplastics and the overall aim is to gain an increased knowledge about microplastics from tire and road wear particles.
