Michael Kokkolaras

Visiting Professor at Product Development

Prof. Kokkolaras is collaborating with Prof. Isaksson, professor in Product Development and leader of the Systems Engineering Design research group, to introduce simulation-based multidisciplinary design optimization into the early stages of design to
i) address changing requirements
ii) assess the impact manufacturing decisions, and
iii) support the development of platform-based solutions.

Dr. Kokkolaras is Professor of Mechanical Engineering at McGill University. His research interests include multidisciplinary optimization, simulation-based engineering design, uncertainty quantification, modeling and validation, systems of systems, product families and optimization applications in transportation, energy, and healthcare engineering systems.
