Håkan Wirdelius
Håkan Wirdelius got his PhD degree in 1995 in theoretical and applied Mechanics. The title of the thesis was Ultrasonic NDT in crack detection – Mathematical modelling and was focused on mathematical modelling of ultrasonic transmitter and receiver probes used in non-destructive testing applications. He is since 2010 Docent in Advanced Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and his heading a research group (4 ass. Prof. And 4 PhD students) at the department of Materials and Manufacturing Technology and he is also, since 1998, the director of a SCeNDT- Scientific Centre of Non-Destructive Testing at Chalmers.
