Karin Brolin

Biträdande professor vid Chalmers, Mekanik och maritima vetenskaper, Fordonssäkerhet

Karin Brolin leder forskningen om humanmodeller, med syfte att verklighetstroget simulera kroppens reaktion på våld och förbättra modellernas användbarhet. Humanmodeller är viktiga verktyg när bilars skyddssystem utvecklas och verifieras, och många av forskningsprojekten sker i nära samarbete med bilindustrin. Humanmodeller kan användas för att prediktera, förstå och förhindra skador i alla typer av olycksfall, t.ex. inom sport. Karin Brolin disputerade på Kungliga tekniska högskolan 2002. Hon började på Chalmers 2009 och fick sin docenttitel 2012.
