Min forskning berör den sista utvecklingen av sol-liknande stjärnor på och efter den asymptotiska jättegrenen (AGB). Dessa stjärnor bidrar på ett signifikant sätt till galaxernas livscykel, kanske redan i det unga universum. Deras massförlust är den viktigaste processen, och i stjärnvindarna skapas den stoft- och molekyllinjestrålning som används i forskningen. Av speciellt intresse är vindarnas sammansättning, dvs förekomsthalter av atomer och molekyler, isotopkvoter, och stoftsammansättningar. Slutligen så är den dramatiska utvecklingen från AGB-stjärna till planetarisk nebulosa av stort intresse.
