Dina Petranovic Nielsen

Visiting Professor at Systems and Synthetic Biology

Dina Petranovic teaches molecular and cell biology and directs the group of Yeast Cell Aging and Death. The main focus of the group is to study (by experimental and computational approaches) molecular mechanisms that lead to cell aging and death. The research is of fundamental and applied relevance: the biology of aging and death is an exciting field for scientific explorations. Additionally, the fields of biotechnology and biomedicine can profit from the studies of these pathways, for example in design of robust cell factories or for testing molecular mechanisms for drug design.
