Driving research and innovation to push Europe's rail system forward (IN2TRACK3)
Research Project, 2021 – 2023

The Shift2Rail Joint Undertaking aims to transform the European rail system by accelerating the adaption of new and advanced technologies into novel rail product solutions. Addressing the Horizon 2020 SHIFT2RAIL call, 'Research into optimised and future railway infrastructure', the EU-funded IN2TRACK3 project – a continuation of IN2TRACK and IN2TRACK2 – will develop physical as well as digital technology and methodology demonstrators for the track, switches and crossings and bridge and tunnel assets. IN2TRACK3 will help to further develop and demonstrate solutions from the previous two projects as well as reduce lifecycle costs, improve the reliability and punctuality of tomorrow's railway. The project is aligned to the SHIFT2RAIL vision and goals.
