Björn Åkerman
Björn Åkerman studerar hur DNA och proteiner uppför sig i trånga miljöer. Enskilda DNA-molekyler utsätts för mekaniska och elektriska krafter för att i grunden förstå deras biologiska funktion och analytiska separation. Proteiner stängs in i porösa partiklar som används för att återanvända enzymer som utnyttjas i biotekniska processer. I båda fallen används forskningsgruppens spektroskopiska expertis i tätt samarbete med ytkemister och molekylärbiologer på Chalmers.
