Johan Malmqvist
Johan Malmqvist is a full professor in product development. His research addresses methodologies for data-driven product development. Current research focuses on methods and tools for design for additive manufacturing, for the application of machine learning in design, and for mass customization of pharmaceutical products. Another area of interest is engineering education. Malmqvist was one of the co-founders and is still active in the international Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate (CDIO) Initiative. The engineering education model that has been developed by the CDIO Initiative has been adopted by a large number of across the world.
