Ivan Sanchez-Diaz
Ivan Sanchez-Diaz is an Associate Professor at Chalmers University of Technology specializing in sustainable urban freight transport and logistics policy. His research combines analytical modeling and behavioral insights to support data-driven policy decisions. As Co-Director of the VREF Urban Freight Platform and Co-Director of Northern LEAD, he has coordinated interdisciplinary research networks, organized multiple conferences and edited special issues bridging academia and practice. Ivan has served as the Research Coordinator for the Urban Freight Transportation Committee (AT025) of the US Transportation Research Board and is currently the co-chair of the Urban Goods Movement (SIG B4) of the World Conference on Transport Research. Ivan has been part of the Scientific Committee and Editorial Boards for different journals and conferences. He is particularly interested in cases illustrating sustainable practices and governance in urban freight and logistics. RESEARCH AREAS: · Freight demand modeling · Urban freight policy evaluation and governance · Urban logistics and curbside management · Digitalization and data analytics in freight systems · Sustainable freight practices
