David Pallarès

Docent at Chalmers, Space, Earth and Environment, Energy Technology

David Pallarès focuses his research in modeling of fluidized bed units, which are used in several energy conversion processes, e.g. air-combustion, oxyfuel-combustion, chemical looping combustion and indirect gasification. Thus, he is active in several of the research groups within the Division of Energy Technology. The goal of his research is to assess the design, scale-up and performance of the analyzed fluidized-bed processes. His work pays special attention to the use of non-fossile fuels such as biomass and waste. Experimental work is part of his activities, since this is used for the development and validation of the modeling.David Pallarès is since 2009 director of the international Master’s Programme in Sustainable Energy Systems.
