Yevheniya Volchko is a Project Manager at the Division of Geology and Geotechnics, research group Environmental geology – land and water resources and has been working at the FRIST (Forum for Risk Investigation and Sustainable Technology) competence center since 2010. Her major research interest is evaluation of effects on soil functions and services in remediation projects. Using soil quality indicators (e.g. soil texture, pH, water holding capacity) and value-related measurements (e.g. willingness-to-pay), the goal is to develop and apply a method for incorporating the effects on soil functions and services into Multi-Criteria Analysis (MCA) for sustainability appraisal of remediation alternatives.
