Santiago Arellano

Enhetschef vid Geovetenskap och fjärranalys

Santiago Arellano forskar om atmosfärens och vulkans fysik med hjälp av spektroskopisk fjärranalys. Detta inkluderar utveckling av mättekniker, fältarbete och dataanalys för att mätta utsläpp av olika molekyler i luften. Detta hjälper oss att förstå kopplingen mellan gas utsläpp och underliggande geofysiska processer. Han samarbetar med flerdisciplinär vetenskapliga grupper i forskning som hjälper människor att fatta välgrundade beslut i samband med vulkaniska eller andra miljörisker. Santiago är ansvarig för instrumentutveckling och dataanalys för det globala NOVAC-nätverk och undervisar kurser om fysik, matematik och miljövetenskap.
