Peter Folkow är docent i mekanik samt avdelningschef för Dynamik. Peters forskningsintressen omfattar vågutbredning i strukturelement (stänger, balkar, plattor, skal) för olika materialmodeller (isotropa, anisotropa, porösa, piezoelektriska, mikromekaniska). Forskningen behandlar främst analytiska härledningar av rörelseekvationer som kan effektivisera beräkningsarbetet vid analys av vibrationer i strukturer.
