Sebastien är professor på avdelningen för vatten miljö teknik, ledare för forskningstema Urbana miljöer och system, på Chalmers.
Sebastiens forskningsmål är att ge en bättre förståelse av samspelet mellan människa och miljö, när det gäller föroreningar och användning av resurser, och att utveckla lösningar baserade på denna förståelse. Eftersom städerna koncentreras av mänskliga aktiviteter, är denna forskning till stor del inriktad på urbana miljöer och system. Hans forskningsexpertis är inom spårämne biogeokemi, urban förorening, hållbar stadsutveckling, vatten och avlopp, samt utveckling av analytiska metoder.
