Silvia Muceli

Docent vid Medicinska signaler och system

Silvia Muceli är docent i neuroteknik. Hennes forskning fokuserar på ytlig och intramuskulär elektromyografi, biomedicinsk signalbehandling och -modellering, bioelektroddesign, neurofysiologi inom rörelseområdet, sensomotorisk utveckling och avancerad styrning av neurala proteser.

Hon tog sin masterexamen i elektroteknik från University of Cagliari (Italien) och doktorsexamen i biomedicinsk vetenskap och teknik från Ålborg universitet (Danmark). Hon avslutade sin post doc-utbildning vid University Medical Center Göttingen (Tyskland) och Imperial College London (Storbritannien). Hon började sedan jobba som forskningsassistent vid Chalmers tekniska högskola.

Hon sitter med i redaktionsrådet för Journal of Electromyography and Kinesiology, och i rådet för International Society of Electrophysiology and Kinesiology (ISEK). Hon är seniormedlem i IEEE, kassör för den svenska sektionen för IEEE Women in Engineering och organisationskommittémedlem i Workforce for Inclusive Science på Chalmers.
