Violeta Roso
Violeta Roso är docent vid avdelningen Service Management and Logistics. Hon har forskat om torrhamnar sedan 2003, hon har skrivit många, ofta citerade, publikationer och är idag ledande forskaren i ämnet.
Torrhamnkonceptet bygger på en hamn som förbinds med en inlandsterminal med järnväg, där containrar kan lämnas in på samma sätt som direkt till hamnen. Fördelar med torrhamnar: ökad hamnkapacitet och produktivitet, minskad trängsel, minskad miljöeffekt och regional utveckling.
Violeta har varit gästföreläsare på UNSW i Sydney/Australien och UNF, Florida/USA. Hon handleder doktorander och master studenter och föreläser i doktorands- och masterskurser.
