Biträdande professor vid Nano- och biofysik

Fokus i min forskning har alltid varit inom material för att ersätta eller regenerera kroppsdelar, alltså "biomaterial". Mitt intresse har fokus på interaktioner mellan celler och proteiner, och ytan av biomaterial. Rollen som ytegenskaper som kemiska och fysiska strukturer spelar i cellernas beteende är av särkilt intresse, eftersom vi kan använda materialytor till att dirigera cellernas öde. Ett området som är relevant är interaktioner mellan skelettmuskulatur och olika biomaterial för att odla kött.

Sedan 2018 är jag ordförande för Chalmers Anställningskommitté.
