“A Digital Society and Sustainable World built from Networked, Autonomous Things”
I am a systems researcher: I love to build (software) prototypes and play with them (= run experiments and write papers about them). My research focuses on the intersection of networked, embedded, and distributed systems, and I am particular passionate about the Internet of Things (IoT), Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), Autonomous Systems, and Edge & Fog Computing. My group and I evaluate our work on large-scale testbeds with hundreds of wireless nodes:
Dependable Internet of Things:
Dependable low-latency wireless networking and distributed computing in low-power wireless networks.
Blockchain and the Internet of Things:
Offline transactions between resource-constrained IoT devices for Blockchains.
AI and Big Data for IoT:
Applied Machine Learning and Big Data Analytics for the Internet of Things and Fog/Edge Computing.
Security in the Internet of Things:
Programming a secure IoT and its Operating Systems, Network Stacks, Applications.
Recent awards include the Chalmers Pedagogical Prize 2014, the Best Paper Award at ACM SenSys 2013, and the Best Poster Award at ACM SenSys 2012.
