Professor vid Tillämpad kemi

Lars Evenäs forskargrupp arbetar med karaktärisering och materialutveckling inom yt- och kolloidkemi. Karaktäriseringen baseras ofta på tillämpning av olika NMR-tekniker, som sträcker sig från fasta tillståndet (t.ex. molekylär riktning i fibrer) och diffusometri (t.ex. molekylär aggregering i lösning) till högupplösta metoder (t.ex. kvantifiering av multifunktionaliserade polymerer). Ur ett materialperspektiv är molekylära och supramolekylära egenskaper, för material från biomassa, ett primärt intresse där cellulosa ofta är utgångspolymeren. Ett annat, men också kombinerat, intresseområde är formulering av och fysikaliska egenskaper hos mikrokapslar för att uppnå kontrollerad frisättning av aktiva substanser från ytmaterial eller fibrillära material.​
