Gunnar Elgered
Gunnar Elgered är professor i elektrisk mätteknik och var prefekt mellan 2000 och maj 2017. Han undervisar i mätteknik och använder då alternativa examinationsmetoder. Forskningsområdet är rymdgeodesi, som använder radioteleskop och globala satellitbaserade navigationssystem (GNSS). Mikrovågsradiometrar används för att studera atmosfärseffekter orsakade av vattenånga. Kunskap om vattenångans variationer är viktig för att förbättra väderprognoser. På senare tid är fokus på att använda GNSS-data för klimatforskning och utvärdering av klimatmodeller.
