Nina Ryd
Ninas research focuses on the collaboration between architects and client during conceptual and planning stages through the management of requirements and the end-users needs. She tutors doctoral students and is an examiner for business development' bachelors as well as teaches the courses; The Value of the Built Environment, Work Space and Front-end Management for students and senior Architects and Engineers. She has had management assignments as a deputy head of the Department of Architecture and Director for one of Chalmers eight areas of advance – Built Environment- with the purpose of profiling Chalmers in challenge driven research and education issues as well as developing collaboration with business and society.
Nina has had regular review assignments for Formas; the Swedish Research Council for sustainable development and has several board commitments, including BIM Alliance and LBF R & D Foundation. Previous board assignments in, among others, The Swedish Centre for Innovation and Quality in the Built Environment (IQ Samhällsbyggnad), Swedish Universities of the Built Environment (SBU), Chalmers Real Estate, Arkus an architectural research council, as well as the Center for Management in the Construction Sector (CMB).
Examples of popular science publications are "Front-end Management in Planning, Building and Maintenance" published by Svensk Byggtjänst AB and nominated for 2018 year's project management literature award by the Swedish project management association (Projektforum).
