Henrik Leion
Dr. Henrik Leion är Docent på avdelningen för Kemi och Biokemi och forskar på kemcyklisk förbränning (Chemical-looping combustion, CLC) och förgasning.
Herniks forskningen är inriktad på att ta fram och utveckla syrebärare samt öka förståelsen för bränslet och syrebärarens reaktioner i CLC och förgasning.
CLC är en teknik som syftar till att vid förbränning separera ut koldioxid. En syrebärande metalloxid cirkuleras mellan två reaktorer där den tar upp syre från luft i den ena reaktorn och avger syre till ett bränsle i den andra reaktorn. På så sätt fås ett gasflöde av ren koldioxid från bränslereaktorn.
Inom förgasning kan en syrebärare användas för att selektivt oxidera tjäror, och andra restprodukter, eller som katalysator för förgasning.
Henrik är för närvarande handledare för fem doktorander.
