Patrick Eriksson

Professor vid Geovetenskap och fjärranalys

Vår huvuduppgift är att producera och analysera globala dataset för att bidra till en bättre förståelse av vår atmosfär. En drivkraft till arbetet är de globala miljöproblemen, som uttunningen av ozonlagret och klimatfrågan. Jag arbetar främst med observationer ifrån satelliter, men även markbaserade instrument. Arbetet täcker allt ifrån att föreslå nya satellitinstrument till att kontrollera prestandan hos klimatmodeller genom att jämföra med mätresultat vi och andra har producerat. För tillfället är min forskning främst inriktad mot vattenånga och moln bestående av ispartiklar, samt hur dessa mätningar kan bidra till bättre väderprognoser.
