Dag Winkler
Dag Winkler erhöll sin doktorsexamen i fysik vid Chalmers 1987. 1988 till 1990 arbetade han som post-doc (research associate) vid Yale University. 1993 blev han oavlönad docent vid Chalmers och anställdes vid Göteborgs Universitet som lektor 1994. 2000 blev han professor i fysik vid Göteborgs Universitet. Han är sedan 2003 professor i fysik vid Chalmers.
Hans huvudsakliga forskning har handlat om tunneleffekter i supraledare och supraledande elektronik, såsom SIS- (Supraledare-Isolator-Supraledare) och HEB- (Het Elektron Bolometer) högfrekvensmottagare, samt Josephson flux-flödes-oscillatorer för terahertz-området, SQUIDar (Superconducting QUantum Interference Devices) och tillämpningar för lågnivå-mätningar. Nuvarande forskning inkluderar multifunktionella material och dess gränsytor såsom högtemperatursupraledare (HTS) och relaterade perovskiter, 2D elektroniska egenskaper vid gränsytan mellan LaAl2O3 och SrTiO3, intrinsiska Josephson-effekter i enkristallint Bi2212 och HTS SQUIDar för MEG (magnetoencefalografi) och ULF-MRI (ultralågfälts ”magnetröntgen”).
Han har lång erfarenhet av mikrovågsteknologi, lågtemperaturfysik och kryogena system. Deltid har han arbetat vid ABB Corporate Research med utveckling av kryogena högspänningskablar och lågnivå-mätningar med supraledande elektronik.
Mellan 1999 och 2003, arbetade han även vid Imego-institutet (nu Acreo), där han byggde upp aktiviteter inom magnetiska sensorsystem och mikrovågsteknologi.
Mellan 2006 och 2007 var han avdelningschef för kvantkomponentfysik vid MC2, och därefter från 1 juni 2007 till 30 juni 2016 prefekt vid institutionen för Mikroteknologi och nanovetenskap – MC2, vid Chalmers tekniska högskola.
