Victor Torres Company
Victor Torres Company leder gruppen Ultrafast Photonics, vars primära forskningsmål är att utveckla laserteknologi för användning i nästa generationens fiberoptiska kommunikationssystem. Hans forskargrupp omfattar olika ämnen inom områdena fotonisk integration, icke-linjär fysik och laserfrekvenskammar. Hans forskargrupp har publicerat i prestigefyllda tidskrifter som Nature Photonics, Nature Communications, Science Advances och Physical Review Letters. År 2021 medgrundade Victor start-up-företaget Iloomina AB tillsammans med två av sina doktorander för att påskynda marknadsintroduktionen av chip-skala frekvenskammar. Han är involverad i undervisning i programmet för trådlös, fotonik och rymdteknik. Victor har tilldelats en European Research Council-konsolideringsstipendium (2018), en VR Consolidator-grant (2020) och ett Marie Curie-stipendium. Slutligen är han direktör för VR Research Excellence Center on Integrated Metaphotonics, en gemensam satsning mellan Institutionen för mikroteknologi och nanovetenskap och fysikinstitutionen för att överbrygga kunskapen mellan invers designtekniker och heterogen integration.
