Minna Karstunen
Minna är professor vid avdelningen för geologi och geoteknik och enhetschef för forskargruppen Geoteknik. Fokus för hennes forskning är det komplexa hastighetsberoendet för lösa lerors spänning-töjningssamband. Lösa naturliga leror täcker stora delar av norra halvklotet och utgör en stor utmaning inom infrastrukturbyggande, samtidigt som de utgör en naturfara. Minnas forskning omfattar, med stöd av experimentella försök och validering i fält, utveckling av konstitutiva modeller, implementering i numeriska kod och tillämpning i praktiska sammanhang. Minna är dessutom intresserad av vidareutveckling och modellering av jordförstärkningsmetoder.
