Mikael Käll
Mikael Käll är en experimentell fysiker med huvudfokus på grundläggande och tillämpad nanooptik och biofotonik. Hans nuvarande forskningsprojekt inriktar sig på optiska antenner och metaytor baserade på halvledande eller metalliska nanostrukturer. Dessa kan till exempel användas för att generera optiska och fototermiska krafter, med tillämpningar inom mikrofluidik, biosensorer mm. Mikael Käll har tidigare arbetat med bland annat ytförstärkt Raman spektroskopi, cellulär mikroskopi och starkt korrelerade elektronsystem, inklusive högtemperatursupraledare. Hans forskargrupp finansieras främst av medel från Vetenskapsrådet och från Knut och Alice Wallenbergs Stiftelse.
