Gunnar Westman
Gunnar Westman är biträdande professor i organisk kemi. Det övergripande syftet med hans forskning är att modifiera och ta fram nya användningsområden för träbaserade produkter.
Till stor del fokuserar forskningen på modifiering av cellulosa med målet att utveckla nya och gröna material, såsom kartongmaterial, textilfibrer och nanofibrer. En annan del av forskningen är inriktad på syntes av lignin-kolhydratmodeller som kan användas för utveckling av nya kemiska behandlingsmetoder av trä.
