Ragnar Larsson
Ragnar Larsson is professor in computational material mechanics. He is heading the division for material and computational mechanics.
The focus of the research is within continuum and material mechanics with emphasis on modeling/simulation of "localized deformation", such as crack propagation, using numerical methods (computational material and failure mechanics). Ragnar also works with porous materials modeling linked to interaction with fluid or gas phases. The applications are in automotive safety (crashworthiness), machining and simulation of composite materials.
