Jörgen Bengtsson

Docent vid Chalmers, Mikroteknologi och nanovetenskap (MC2), Fotonik

Jörgen Bengtsson leder Avdelningen för Fotoniks forskning om nya fenomen och strukturer för återkoppling i mikrolasrar. Hans doktorander finns främst i Kommunikationslasergruppen och i Optiska nitridgruppen där de tillsammans fokuserar på supersnabba energisnåla lasrar med möjlighet att enkelt ställa in ljusvåglängden, samt på mikrolasrar som sänder ut kortvågigt ljus – ultraviolett, blått eller grönt – som efterfrågas i biologiska och medicinska tillämpningar. Han har också grundat den lovordade och praktiskt inriktade kursen i Numerisk Fotonik, som han fortsätter att utveckla och föreläsa i.
